Structure Therapeutics Inc. Effective September 18, Blai Coll, M.D., Ph.D., has been promoted to Chief Medical Officer, succeeding Mark Bach, M.D., Ph.D., as part of a planned succession strategy.
Dr. Coll, who previously served as Vice President of Clinical Development at Structure, has been instrumental in leading the GSBR-1290 program. This oral small molecule GLP-1 agonist is poised to enter Phase 2b clinical development for obesity in the fourth quarter of 2024. His extensive experience in the cardiometabolic clinical space positions him well to guide the company’s next phase of development.
In addition, Ashley Hall, J.D., has been appointed to the newly created role of Chief Development Officer. Hall will oversee clinical development operations, project management, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance, leveraging her robust background in global clinical development.

Before his promotion, he led clinical activities for GSBR-1290 as Vice President of Endocrine and Metabolism Clinical Development at Structure. His previous roles include significant positions at Amgen, where he managed lifecycle studies for Repatha® and led early development projects in the cardiovascular domain. He also served as Medical Director at AbbVie, overseeing late-stage clinical programs for chronic kidney disease.
