MINISO (NYSE:MNSO), the globally acclaimed lifestyle brand, has proudly announced the grand opening of its first Sanrio-themed store in Australia. Set to open its doors on September 7th, this new flagship location on George Street in Sydney signifies a milestone for MINISO, marking its inaugural Sanrio-themed IP collection shop in the country.

Spanning approximately 300 square meters, the new store features over 2,500 SKUs, promising an extraordinary shopping experience with a heavy emphasis on licensed IP products. This includes a diverse array of Sanrio characters such as Kuromi, Melody, and Cinnamoroll, accounting for nearly 30% of the store's offerings. Shoppers can explore a delightful range of products from blind boxes to night lights. Additionally, the store's inventory features popular items from other beloved IPs including Disney, BT21, and Loopy, making it a haven for fans of these cherished characters.

The store’s debut weekend has been nothing short of spectacular, setting a new record for the highest sales per square meter among all MINISO locations. Its strategic location on George Street, Sydney's bustling original high street, ensures high visibility and accessibility. Nestled amidst major retail areas and iconic landmarks such as Sydney Town Hall and the Queen Victoria Building (QVB), the store is poised to attract a steady stream of locals and tourists alike.

To commemorate this landmark opening, MINISO has launched a special limited-edition reusable shopping bag, the MINISO Kroo Bag. Inspired by Australia’s iconic kangaroo, this exclusive bag embodies the theme “Karrying Fun to Australia.” Customers who make a qualifying purchase on the opening day will receive this unique Kroo Bag as a gift. MINISO has also released a creative promotional video showcasing the oversized Kroo Bags, inviting Australians to embrace the excitement of the new store.

AWith its vibrant Sanrio-themed décor and a well-curated selection of IP products, MINISO’s new flagship store on George Street is set to become a must-visit destination for fans and shoppers in Sydney. This grand opening not only highlights MINISO’s commitment to bringing joyful and innovative shopping experiences but also reinforces its expanding footprint in the Australian market.
