Datasea, Jiuzi & US Energy Corp: Why these stocks jumped Wednesday?

Stocks of Datasea Inc. (Nasdaq:DTSS), Jiuzi Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq:JZXN), and US Energy Corp (Nasdaq:USEG) were trending on Wall Street on Wednesday.

Datasea stock jumped 27.30% to US$3.715 at 2.03 pm ET on July 14 after the company announced that its subsidiary Shuhai Zhangxun Information Technology Co had signed six purchase and distribution agreements to supply 5G message-marketing cloud platform version 3.0. The company also announced that the product would be available across China.

The stock of US Energy Corp surged by 26.68 percent to US$5.26 at 2.19 pm ET on July 14. However, there was no apparent reason for the surge. The company develops oil and gas fields in the US.

The market capitalization of USEG is US$23 million. The beta is 1.26. The 52-week highest stock price of USEG is US$18.57, and the lowest is US$3.06. The share volume is 64,515,014. Its stock price soared 40.64 percent YTD. Revenue of the company in Q1, 2021 ended on March 31 was US$1.2 million compared to US$0.9 million YoY.

The stock prices of Jiuzi Holdings, Inc. went up by 8.49 percent to US$5.11 at 2.33 am ET on July 14. Jiuzi, the new energy vehicle company, has signed an agreement with China Petrol Technology (Shenzhen) Limited, an industrial chain platform for energy and the internet, to build battery swap stations and battery management systems for electric vehicles across China.

Both the companies will jointly invest US$77.29 million in EV technology, research and development, and software for the project.

The market capitalization of USEG is US$104 million. The 52 weeks highest stock price of USEG is US$49.01, and the lowest is US$4.54. The share volume is 26,312,842. Revenue of the company in Q1, 2021, which ended on March 31, was US$1.2 million, compared to US$0.9 million YoY. The company went public on May 18 this year, offering 5,200,000 ordinary shares for US$5 each.
