Rolls-Royce Holdings Plc (LON: RR.) has said that it will sell its civil nuclear instrumentation and control business to France-based Framatome, which is into the nuclear reactor business, for an undisclosed amount.
- The plane engine maker wants to raise over £2 billion ($2.7bn) from this deal in a bid to fight the pandemic crisis.
- The I&C business covers entire Rolls-Royce activities and its teams based in France, the Czech Republic and China.
- Rolls-Royce has confirmed that the deal will not impact any of its UK-based employees, and the sale will not include the UK civil nuclear business.
- The stocks of the company on 8 December 2020, traded lower by 1.75% from its previous closing, hovering at around GBX 129.10 at 10:22 AM GMT+1.
