  • Robinhood customers gain access to equity, crypto, FX, and energy futures.
  • Educational resources available to support both new and experienced traders.

CME Group, an international derivatives marketplace, has teamed up with Robinhood to introduce some of its most popular futures products to Robinhood customers. This collaboration brings a wide range of futures contracts to the Robinhood mobile app, offering users access to products in five major asset classes. The new offerings include futures tied to the four leading U.S. equity indices: the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, Russell 2000, and Dow Jones Industrial Average. Additionally, customers can trade futures on Bitcoin and Ether, major FX currency pairs, key metals such as gold, silver, and copper, as well as commodities including crude oil and natural gas.

This partnership expands CME Group's footprint in the retail trading space, providing Robinhood's users with an opportunity to engage in futures trading directly from the app. The roll-out is set to continue over the coming weeks, with all eligible Robinhood customers in the U.S. gaining access to these new futures products.

To ensure that traders, whether seasoned or beginners, can navigate this new offering effectively, both CME Group and Robinhood are providing a range of educational tools. CME Group offers a variety of resources through the CME Institute and Futures Fundamentals, which includes free online courses, webinars, interactive tutorials, and insights from industry experts. These resources are designed to equip traders with the knowledge and confidence to trade futures. Robinhood complements this by providing educational materials through Robinhood Learn and YouTube videos, helping customers understand what futures are and how to trade them.

As the futures market opens up to a broader audience through Robinhood’s platform, the collaboration signals a significant step in making advanced financial products more accessible. The integration of CME Group’s futures contracts within the Robinhood app reflects a growing trend of simplifying trading for everyday users, with an emphasis on education and informed decision-making.
