National has announced that it will release a $100 million grant programme called Tourism Accelerator. This accelerator is aimed to support funding projects which will help the country’s tourism sector come back on its feet.

New Zealand will move to alert level 1 - and a return to mostly normal lives - from midnight tonight. Today's Cabinet decision means that events such as funerals, hospitality and public transport can all resume without any restrictions from midnight. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern's announcement comes just two hours after health officials confirmed that the country now has no active Covid-19 cases.

Air New Zealand has resumed its services between Auckland and Taup? as well as Wellington and Timaru. The restarting of flights on these routes is not only good news for the regions they serve, but for Air NZ too - these routes resuming means the airline is now operating to all 20 of the domestic destinations it serviced pre-COVID-19. Air NZ will operate three return services per week on both routes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
