Red Metal Resources Ltd. (CSE:RMES) is pleased to announce that planning is underway for an extensive 2025 work program at its highly prospective Carrizal IOCG Property in Chile. This property is located in the prolific Candelaria iron oxide copper-gold (IOCG) belt, which is renowned for hosting large-scale mineralization systems. The program will focus on expanding and following up on previous high-grade sampling discoveries, including 5.77% copper (Cu), 1.55% cobalt (Co), and 0.11 g/t gold (Au) along a two-kilometre strike to the north of the 2022 drilling on the "Farellon" structure.
The 2025 work program will prioritize testing high-potential targets that were identified through previous exploration activities, such as drilling, sampling, and mapping. The program will employ advanced ASTER remote sensing surveys to analyze alteration signatures, helping to pinpoint areas with significant mineralization potential. Additionally, the work will include extensive ground sampling initiatives aimed at further refining drill targets and expanding known zones of mineralization.
Red Metal Resources’ President and CEO, Caitlin Jeffs, shared her excitement about the 2025 program: “We are excited to build on our previously successful drilling and sampling programs in a 2025 market environment with higher copper prices and demand. We have multiple new potential drill targets in close proximity to the Farellon structure and are greatly encouraged by the drilling confirmation of significant new vein widths and mineralization. We have mapped a full 1.5 kilometres of continuity for planned upcoming drilling, as well as numerous other high-priority veins that have yet to be drill-tested. We believe the nature of the alteration and veining indicates that we are in the top of a large IOCG system and are in the early stages of showing its full potential.”
The Farellon structure remains a focal point for Red Metal’s exploration efforts due to its high-grade results and the promising continuity of mineralization observed in previous drilling. The company is confident that the combination of new data from remote sensing and ground sampling will lead to the identification of additional drill targets, potentially increasing the size of the mineralized system.
Red Metal Resources continues to be encouraged by the progress made in the exploration of the Carrizal IOCG Property, especially considering the growing global demand for copper and the increasing prices for this critical metal. The upcoming 2025 exploration program is positioned to capitalize on this favorable market environment and further demonstrate the immense potential of the Carrizal project.
