  • It is not listed on a blockchain tech
  • The brains behind it claim Pi is a planet-friendly digital token.

Pi Network’s coin is the first of its kind upcoming cryptocurrency that can be mined from mobile phones. However, it has been surrounded by numerous uncertainties and speculations.

A segment of crypto enthusiasts argues that Pi coin is worth nothing, and it is a scam. New users fear that it consumes data and drains the mobile battery. However, the Pi community claims that it is developed on the social chain and is easy to access.

Pi’s core team is yet to release any exact figure on its initial coin listing price. But reports suggest that the coin listing may take place by the end of this year.

Pi Coin Price Predictions

Pi is currently worth near zero-dollar, just like Bitcoin was in 2008, as per details on its network app. Bitcoin price surged to one US dollar in February 2011. If Pi’s value rises in line with Bitcoin’s historical price data, it could be worth one dollar by 2024.

Pi’s price will be decided by the mining operations, which include social campaigns, goods, and services, as per the project’s website.

Is Pi Mining Eco-Friendly?

The project team claims that Pi is a planet-friendly digital token as it does not require crypto mining equipment like Graphic Processing Units (GPUs) and application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC).

Over 18 million Pi Network’s app users have been mining this upcoming digital currency. The network has not provided information on the maximum supply limit. A rising number of miners may lead to internet data and electricity consumption.

Is Pi Cryptocurrency Listed?

Pi is not listed on any blockchain tech platform, and its wallet – testnet – is under beta testing. Once it gets listed on a blockchain platform, its wallet will be known as mainnet

The Pi blockchain protocol is yet to be deployed to create the mainnet wallet. Once it is listed on a decentralized technology, it will be as safe as existing crypto tokens. As of now, Pi coins cannot be exchanged with money.

Does Pi Coin Have a Future?

Until Pi gets listed on a cryptocurrency exchanges, there is no way to exchange Pi coins to fiat currency. Right now, its founders are generating revenue by allowing commercial advertisements on its app. However, this process is not transparent as the network team has not announced the same.

Pi Coin could have a future once it goes live on crypto exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, Crypto.com, etc.
