Canadian cannabis producer Aprhia Inc recently announced that it has completed the acquisition of SweetWater Brewing Company, a US-based craft brewer. As a part of this transaction, SweetWater stakeholders got US$ 250 million in cash and US$ 50 million in Aphria stock at closing.
Both the companies welcomed this transaction with a statement, saying that they look to expanding their market.
Aphria Inc paid the cash component of the acquisition price with its available cash on hand, which included the funds it recently collected from an at-the-market equity program.
