Aurora Project Location and Regional Importance

The Aurora Gold-Silver Project, owned by T2 Metals, covers 76 square kilometres in Yukon’s Dawson Mining District, one of the territory’s most active exploration zones. T2 Metals’ exploration teams have completed geological mapping alongside rock and soil sampling, discovering new outcrops and rock float with semi-massive sulphide mineralization. Notably, a new semi-massive stibnite (antimony sulphide) outcrop was found 300 metres from the Antimony Mountain Prospect. Additionally, semi-massive sulphide mineralization with chalcopyrite visually estimated above 15% was identified in rock float 300 metres northeast of the Rainbow Prospect.

The company stresses that these mineralization observations are visual estimates and not substitutes for laboratory assays, which are pending. Geological Setting and Reduced Intrusion-Related Gold System Context

The Aurora claims center on the Antimony Mountain Stock, part of the Tombstone Plutonic Suite intrusion, known for stibnite (antimony sulphide) veins discovered as early as 1916. Exploration has been sporadic since then. Shawn Ryan and previous explorers identified eight significant gold prospects along a 10-kilometre trend using soil and rock chip sampling.

The Tombstone Gold Belt features mid-Cretaceous, reduced felsic intrusions of the Tombstone Plutonic Suite, fostering major reduced intrusion-related gold systems (RIRGS). Gold mineralization here is typically linked with multi-element signatures including bismuth, tellurium, tungsten, arsenic, and antimony. The region hosts both high-grade vein systems and lower-grade bulk-tonnage deposits, with recent discoveries by Snowline Gold, Banyan Gold, and Sitka Gold.

Polymetallic Mineralization Indicative of RIRGS Footprint

The newly found semi-massive copper and antimony mineralization, associated with arsenopyrite and pyrite, aligns with the polymetallic signature typical of RIRGS in the district, potentially including skarn-related massive sulphide deposits. T2 Metals notes similarities in iron-oxide and jarosite alteration at Aurora and the nearby ML Project operated by Prospector Metals.

Sampling results reinforce the prospectivity of this part of the Dawson Mining District and support the presence of multiple, potentially related mineralization styles warranting drill testing in 2026. The discoveries and consistent alteration styles suggest additional exploration targets remain unidentified.

Historical Exploration and Project Development Timeline

Despite its potential, Aurora has undergone less than 3,000 metres of total drilling and had no exploration activity for over 15 years before T2 Metals’ involvement. A prior company announcement on February 26, 2026, detailed the project’s history and geology. The current program represents a major reactivation of exploration after this lengthy pause.

Shawn Ryan, Advisory Board member and original project discoverer, visited the site during current work programs. He remarked that although he has extensively explored the area before, it is encouraging to find new high-grade discoveries with the right alteration styles. He looks forward to the upcoming drilling following the long exploration hiatus.
