Rockland Resources Unveils High-Grade 79.9 g/t Gold Near Surface and Discovers New Gold Zone at Greg Smith Lake, 1.1 km from Historic Cole Mine in Ontario

Rockland Resources Ltd. (CSE: RKL) (OTCQB: BERLF) (FSE: GB2) has announced assay results from 19 drill holes totaling 5,632.5 metres in its RL-COLE-26 winter drilling campaign at the 100%-owned Cole Gold Mines Project in Ontario’s Red Lake Mining District. Significant gold mineralization was identified in 12 of the 19 holes, including a near-surface intercept of 79.9 g/t gold over 0.50 metres in hole RR-26-08. This marks the first drill confirmation of gold mineralization along the historically mapped Vein 15 structure, alongside a new bedrock gold discovery at the Greg Smith Lake Zone, located roughly 1.1 kilometres southwest of the historic Cole mineshaft. These results extend known gold mineralization over more than one kilometre on the Cole property and highlight multiple promising exploration targets. Investors are closely monitoring 54 remaining samples pending screened metallic fire-assay analysis, with the company committing to disclose material findings upon receipt and review.

Exceptional Near-Surface High-Grade Gold Intercept in Hole RR-26-08 at Eastern Vein 15

Hole RR-26-08 delivered the most remarkable result from the RL-COLE-26 program, intersecting 79.9 g/t gold over 0.50 metres at a downhole depth of 23.65 metres, equivalent to an approximate vertical depth of 20 metres. Screened metallic fire assay of the same sample yielded 36.9 g/t gold, reflecting the coarse gold’s uneven distribution within the interval.

Using the screened metallic assay for composite calculations, this high-grade zone is part of a broader mineralized envelope grading 3.1 g/t gold over 6.85 metres, including a 1.0-metre interval at 19.4 g/t gold. The interval contains pyrite, sphalerite, and chalcopyrite within a silica-sericite altered zone with quartz veining. Nearby hole RR-26-07, drilled from the same pad, intersected 8.11 g/t gold over 0.25 metres at 54.29 metres downhole, with screened metallic analysis at 5.25 g/t gold and scheelite logged near the main gold interval. These holes represent the inaugural drill test of the eastern Vein 15 target.

Western Vein 15 Target: Multiple High-Grade Intervals in 500-Metre Hole RR-26-15

Hole RR-26-15, a 500-metre drill from Pad Q-1, tested the western Vein 15 area and intersected several gold-bearing intervals from near surface to the hole’s base. Key highlights include 11.30 g/t gold over 1.85 metres starting at 39.0 metres, composed of 9.77 g/t over 1.0 metre and 13.1 g/t over 0.85 metres, plus a second interval grading 6.23 g/t gold over 1.61 metres at 150.39 metres, featuring 1.27 g/t over 0.65 metres and 9.59 g/t over 0.96 metres.

The results support a geological interpretation that competency contrasts and structural controls along lithological contacts influenced quartz veining, alteration, and gold deposition in western Vein 15. Upper high-grade samples from RR-26-15 are pending screened metallic fire-assay analysis, including a logged visible-gold interval around 354 metres downhole. These pending results will be reported separately once available.

Greg Smith Lake Zone: First Drill Confirmation of 2025 Surface Gold Discovery

Initially identified by Rockland prospectors in 2025 along Greg Smith Lake’s shore, approximately 1.1 kilometres southwest of the historic Cole mineshaft, the Greg Smith Lake Zone previously yielded selective surface grab samples with values up to 111 g/t and 145 g/t gold. The company cautions that grab samples are selective and may not represent overall grade or continuity.

Drilling during RL-COLE-26 provided the first subsurface test of this target. Hole RR-26-09 intersected 6.57 g/t gold over 2.50 metres starting at 110.0 metres, including 10.71 g/t gold over 1.50 metres from 111.0 metres. Hosted within a quartz vein in andesite, this confirms significant gold mineralization extends into bedrock beneath the surface discovery. Hole RR-26-10 returned no significant values, while RR-26-18 intersected 0.737 g/t gold over 0.40 metres at 59.25 metres downhole.

Historic Cole Mine Area: Extending Gold Mineralization Beyond Workings

Seven holes targeted the vicinity of the historic Cole mineshaft and underground workings. Previously disclosed highlights include 279.00 g/t gold over 0.50 metres and 16.89 g/t gold over 4.00 metres in RR-26-02, plus 113.00 g/t gold over 0.50 metres in RR-26-03, announced in June 2026.

New results include 7.45 g/t gold over 0.47 metres at 219.94 metres in RR-26-05, and two intervals in RR-26-06: 5.92 g/t over 0.70 metres at 169.0 metres and 6.42 g/t over 0.50 metres at 224.65 metres. Lower-grade intervals were recorded in RR-26-01 (1.95 g/t over 2.55 metres), RR-26-04 (0.67 g/t over 1.50 metres), and RR-26-11 (0.65 g/t over 7.05 metres). This drilling extends gold mineralization below and beyond historic workings and identifies additional follow-up drilling targets.

Regional Drilling and Geological Contacts: Mixed but Insightful Results

Several deeper regional holes tested geological contacts across the property. Hole RR-26-13, targeting a northwest contact, returned 5.89 g/t gold over 0.30 metres at 18.53 metres in a 507-metre hole. Hole RR-26-14, testing a south-limb contact, intersected 1.35 g/t gold over 0.74 metres at 468.2 metres, while RR-26-17 returned 0.999 g/t over 0.85 metres at 36.55 metres.

Holes RR-26-10, RR-26-12, and RR-26-16 returned no significant gold. RR-26-16 drilled into an intrusive core, and RR-26-12 targeted a northeast contact at Greg Smith Lake. These results support a geological model where intrusives and ultramafic interiors host limited mineralization, refining future targeting.

Advancing Geological Model Across Cole Property

The RL-COLE-26 program advances an evolving geological model showing gold mineralization occurs in multiple geological settings: across felsic volcanic-felsite and mafic dyke contacts at western Vein 15; within altered, quartz-veined andesite beneath an ultramafic-gabbro-andesite transition at eastern Vein 15; and in quartz veins hosted by andesite at Greg Smith Lake.

Gold deposition appears influenced by structural preparation, quartz veining, silica-sericite alteration, sulphide mineralization, competency contrasts, and key lithological contacts. Scheelite was logged throughout, often in altered or veined zones, but further studies are needed to clarify any spatial or genetic link between tungsten-bearing alteration and gold mineralization. The company notes not all mapped contacts are mineralized and additional modeling, surface work, and drilling are required to prioritize structural corridors.

CEO Mike England Comments on Drilling Success

Mike England, CEO and Director of Rockland Resources, stated, "Drilling has now confirmed significant gold mineralization across several target areas at Cole. The first drilling of the historically mapped Vein 15 structure intersected gold in all three holes from two target areas approximately 225 metres apart, and our program confirmed a new high-grade bedrock gold zone at Greg Smith Lake."

The announcement does not provide further management commentary, project economics, resource estimates, or production timelines. No resource estimate has been disclosed related to the RL-COLE-26 program, and results remain at the exploration stage.

Qualified Person, Analytical Procedures, and Quality Control

Technical data was reviewed and approved by Donald Hoy, M.Sc., P.Geo., a Rockland consultant and Qualified Person under NI 43-101. NQ drill core was logged and sampled at the company’s secure core facility; half-core samples were submitted for analysis with the other half retained.

Samples were analyzed by Activation Laboratories using fire assay with atomic absorption finish; samples exceeding upper limits were re-analyzed gravimetrically. Intervals with visible or coarse gold underwent screened metallic fire assay (1A4 method). Certified reference materials, blanks, and duplicates were regularly inserted, with QA/QC results within acceptable limits. Reported widths are downhole lengths; true widths are not yet calculated. Historic data from the 1930s is included for geological context only and not independently verified.

Pending Screened Metallic Assays and Program Overview

Fifty-four samples remain pending screened metallic fire-assay analysis, including intervals with visible gold, elevated original assays, or indications of coarse gold. Pending samples come from holes RR-26-03, RR-26-09, RR-26-12, RR-26-13, RR-26-14, RR-26-15, RR-26-18, and RR-26-19.

Notably, pending assays include a visible-gold interval at approximately 354 metres in hole RR-26-15, which already yielded multiple high-grade intervals at shallower depths. Material results will be disclosed upon receipt. The RL-COLE-26 program totaled 5,632.5 metres across 19 holes targeting historic mine areas, Vein 15 east and west, Greg Smith Lake Zone, and regional structural contacts.

Cole Gold Mines Project in Red Lake: Strategic Importance and Next Steps

The Cole Gold Mines Project, 100% owned by Rockland Resources, is situated in the prolific Red Lake Mining District of northwestern Ontario, one of Canada’s premier gold-producing regions. The project is the company’s flagship asset. The RL-COLE-26 drilling has confirmed significant gold mineralization across multiple targets, with the Greg Smith Lake Zone and the extensive Vein 15 structure expanding the known mineralized footprint.

Rockland is currently reviewing drill results, detailed geological logs, and pending assays to refine exploration targets for the next phase.
