Exceptional High-Grade Rock Sampling at Tahami Southeast

Initial field investigations by Quimbaya Gold at Tahami Southeast have produced significant assay results from selective grab and panel-grab samples. Rock samples showed gold concentrations up to 59.4 grams per tonne and silver up to 52.30 grams per tonne from quartz vein sub-outcrops hosted in porphyritic granodiorite with intense sericite alteration.

The company notes that grab and panel-grab samples are selective and may not represent the overall mineralization of the property. Samples were taken from sub-outcrops featuring quartz veins associated with galena and sphalerite minerals, typical of epithermal vein systems in the Segovia Gold District. Two main vein trends have been mapped: a northeast trend linked to historic Mina Antigua and El Chicharrón workings, and a northwest trend.

Target Area and Alteration Zone at Tahami Southeast

The Tahami Southeast target covers an estimated one square kilometre colour anomaly interpreted as strong sericitic alteration. This alteration zone remains open in several directions, indicating potential for expansion with further exploration. Coarse gold has been detected in pan samples from surrounding drainages, supporting evidence of mineralization near the main target.

Geologically, Tahami Southeast exhibits features consistent with epithermal vein systems typical of the Segovia Gold District. Ricardo Sierra, AusIMM, VP Exploration for Quimbaya, explained that the sericitic alteration, structurally-controlled quartz veins with galena and sphalerite, and coarse gold in drainages align with epithermal systems related to oxidized intrusion-related gold deposits. The target is located in the southern part of Quimbaya's land package and lies adjacent to Aris Mining's high-grade gold operations, underscoring its exploration potential.

Strategic Exploration within Quimbaya's Portfolio

Tahami Southeast is the third distinct exploration target within Quimbaya's Tahami Project on the district-scale Segovia land package. The company previously identified and is advancing two other targets: gold-silver veins at Tahami South (initially reported December 2025) and a copper-molybdenum-gold porphyry at Tahami Center. This multi-target strategy aims to reduce exploration risk and enhance shareholder value through multiple discovery opportunities.

CEO Alexandre P. Boivin stated exploration has progressed as planned, with drilling completed at Tahami South to define gold-silver veins, confirmation of the copper-molybdenum-gold porphyry at Tahami Center, and now addition of Tahami Southeast. Boivin described the one-square-kilometre alteration zone with visible gold in creeks and rock samples up to 59.4 g/t as "exactly the kind of early signal that warrants disciplined follow-up." The company plans a systematic exploration program in the second half of 2026 to define drill targets.

Context of Segovia Gold District and Historical Mining

The Segovia Gold District has produced gold for over a century and currently hosts Aris Mining's high-grade operations, confirming the region's rich mineral endowment and infrastructure. The structurally-controlled quartz vein systems with galena and sphalerite at Tahami Southeast correspond with epithermal vein characteristics defining the district's geology. This continuity supports the exploration potential of the Tahami Southeast target.

Active and abandoned artisanal workings within Tahami Southeast, including historic Mina Antigua and El Chicharrón sites, are under investigation during field evaluations. The announcement clarifies that Mina Antigua, El Chicharrón, and Aris Mining's operations are on properties not owned by Quimbaya, and the Qualified Person has not verified exploration data from adjacent properties. Exploration continues southeast of Quimbaya's claim.

Exploration and Sampling Plans for 2026

Quimbaya plans to advance Tahami Southeast with systematic geological mapping, rock and channel sampling, and structural interpretation to identify and define drill targets. This program is scheduled for the second half of 2026. Results will be reported upon receipt and verification by the qualified person overseeing technical disclosure.

The exploration approach emphasizes disciplined progression from initial prospecting and sampling to detailed evaluation. The mapping and sampling will provide geochemical and geological data to refine targets and guide future drilling design.

Quality Assurance, Control, and Analytical Procedures

Samples were collected by company personnel under qualified person supervision, with locations recorded by handheld GPS. Rock and stream-sediment samples were submitted to SGS, an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited independent laboratory. Sample preparation and analysis took place at SGS facilities in Medellín, Colombia, and Lima, Peru, both ISO 17025 accredited.

Gold assays used fire assay with atomic absorption finish on 30-gram charges (SGS method FAA313). Multi-element analysis including silver was performed by four-acid digestion with ICP-AES/ICP-MS finish (SGS method ICP40B). Copper assays exceeding 1% were reanalyzed by ore-grade methods (SGS code AAS41B). Detection limits were copper 0.5 ppm, molybdenum 1 ppm, gold 5 ppb, lead 2 ppm, and zinc 0.5 ppm. These protocols are industry-standard for vein-hosted gold-silver mineralization and suitable for the sample style and grade.

Quality Control and Certified Reference Material Results

Quimbaya implemented a QA/QC program including certified reference materials, blanks, and field duplicates inserted at 15-20% intervals during sampling. Certified reference materials Epi-35 and Epi-41 covered expected copper, silver, and gold grades, returning values within ±2 standard deviations of certified means.

Coarse blank materials from Bureau Veritas quartz certificates showed values below 10 times detection limits for all elements. Field duplicates had an average correlation of Rb2 = 0.872, within industry-accepted tolerances. Channel samples were continuous chip channels cut perpendicular to structural orientation at the Laurel mine underground workings and surface outcrops, approximately 15 cm wide and up to 2 meters long.

Incentive Stock Options and Corporate Governance

Quimbaya's board approved granting 1,300,000 incentive stock options and 1,550,000 restricted share units (RSUs) to directors, officers, employees, and consultants under the equity incentive plan. Stock options are exercisable at C$0.40 per share for five years from grant and vest over 12 months. RSUs also vest over 12 months.

All securities are subject to statutory hold periods and Canadian Securities Exchange policies. The announcement did not specify grant dates or individual recipients.
