TSX opens higher on softer U.S. inflation; focus on BoC rate decision

(Reuters) - Canada's main stock index rose at market open on Wednesday on signs of cooling U.S. inflation, while investors awaited the Bank of Canada's interest rate decision due later in the day.

At 9:30 a.m. ET (1330 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 108.02 points, or 0.53%, at 20,529.87.
