iSignthis Files A$264 Million Damages Claim Against ASX | ASX Market Update

iSignthis Ltd (ASX:ISX) has filed its amended statement of claim in the Federal Court of Australia against the ASX Limited (ASX:ASX). The amended statement of claim also alleges to misleading as well as deceptive conduct under section 1041H of the Corporations Act by the ASX, by the publication of a ‘Statement of Reasons’ to clarify the basis of the suspension of securities of ISX since the 2 October 2019. Moreover, ISX is claiming damages now which are more than A$264 million.

Housing Industry Association (HIA) has embraced planning reforms for residential building projects & renovations revealed by WA Planning Minister Rita Saffioti on 21 August 2020. HIA WA Executive Director, Cath Hart stated that the sensible reforms eliminated the need for a few planning approvals for simple, straightforward residential projects. The guidelines are now easy to understand for applicants as well as the decision makers. According to the figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), retail turnover in Australia rose by 3.3% in July 2020.

Turnover increased by 12.2% when compared to July 2019. In July, retail turnover increased in all states and territories except Victoria and this rise was led by continuous strength in household goods retailing, and the recovery in cafes, restaurants and other retailing services. Retail turnover in Victoria was impacted by rising COVID-19 cases and re-introduction of Stage 3 restrictions in July.
