Asian Markets Plunge Again | ASX Market Update

Asian markets have started the week on the backfoot while oil prices slipped as fears of a second wave of coronavirus infections in China sent investors scurrying for safe-havens. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was down 0.25 per cent with Australian shares off 0.4 per cent and South Korea slipping 0.6 per cent.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has awarded Worley Limited (ASX:WOR) a deal for legal inspections and general maintenance of wind-turbine generator cranes and lifts throughout all turbines on the London Array offshore wind farm.The wind farm consists of 175 turbines located over 20 km, off the Kent coast in the UK.

Super Retail Group (ASX:SUL) disclosed an AU$203 million underwritten, 1 for 7 non-renounceable entitlement offer at a per-share issue price of AU$7.19. The offer comprises of both, an institutional as well as a retail entitlement offer. Moreover, the company stated that this raising shall be used to pursue strategic growth initiatives.
