RooLife, AFT Pharmaceuticals Launch New Zealand branded 'Kiwi Health' on Tmall Global in China

On 22 October 2020, RooLife along with AFT Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: AFP),  launched Kiwi Health, a New Zealand-branded health and well-being store on Alibaba's Tmall Global marketplace. 

Alibaba Group and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), which is the New Zealand government's international business development agency, also supported the launch of Kiwi Health.

Kiwi Health store is launched in advance of and in preparation for Alibaba's 11.11 Global Shopping Festival to be held on 11 November 2020. The global Festival is the world's largest online shopping event hosted annually on 11 November. Several merchants and consumers participate in the event, and during the Festival, Kiwi Health is planning a series of promotions to Chinese consumers.

AFT Pharmaceuticals Founder and CEO, Dr Hartley Atkinson, highlighted that their products are already garnering a strong following with the local Chinese consumers living in New Zealand and Australia. The company is optimistic that the launch of Kiwi Health will further help it in amplifying the digital presence. 

Alibaba Group's Managing Director in Australia and New Zealand, Maggie Zhou, stated that the company is delighted with this launch. Further, she believes that NZ products have a strong reputation in China, and now Chinese care more about their health and wellness than ever before.

New Zealand Trade and Enterprise's General Manager Customers, Lisa Thompson, acknowledged the fact that COVID-19 has accentuated the need for a strong digital strategy, for exporters. She further stated that it was fantastic to see AFT Pharmaceuticals set up their flagship store on Tmall.

Stock performance: On 23 October 2020, RLG closed the day's trade at AUD 0.037, down by 7.5 per cent with a market capitalisation of 23.18 million.
