  • ClearVue partners with UK’s MGP to merge solar and heated glass tech.
  • Goal: Transform large buildings into energy-generating hubs.
  • MGP to integrate ClearVue’s solar tech with heated glass in the UK.

ClearVue Technologies (ASX:CPV) has secured a manufacturing and distribution agreement with the UK-based company My Glass Projects (MGP) Ltd to integrate its innovative solar glazing technology with MGP’s heated glass. This collaboration marks ClearVue’s debut in the UK, aiming to enhance energy efficiency in large-scale buildings by merging solar energy capabilities with MGP’s specialized heated glass solutions.

ClearVue has been at the forefront of solar innovation, creating high-grade glass panels that can harvest sunlight to produce energy. The company’s vision focuses on transforming skyscrapers and commercial buildings into active energy-generating entities, essentially converting facades into solar farms. With this partnership, MGP gains non-exclusive rights to produce and distribute ClearVue’s solar-powered glass panels across the UK. This arrangement not only expands ClearVue’s market reach but also allows MGP to combine ClearVue’s energy-generating technology with its own heated glass products.

The integration of ClearVue’s solar technology with MGP’s heated glass is a strategic move, adding value for buildings in both cold and warm climates. Heated glass has particular relevance in cold regions, where it prevents condensation and maintains clear visibility. For instance, MGP’s heated glass technology has been used in iconic structures, such as the One World Trade Center and the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, where it controls condensation under the memorial.

This partnership aligns well with ClearVue’s long-term goals of creating “smart façades” that leverage autonomous, energy-generating glass. According to ClearVue’s CEO, Martin Deil, this collaboration not only introduces ClearVue’s solar glazing solution to a broader audience but also expands the application of its technology into new products suitable for diverse climates. “Combining My Glass Projects’ heated glass technology with our solar glazing solution has created another commercially viable smart façade solution that takes autonomous glazing systems to the next level,” Deil commented, emphasizing the potential of this partnership to make energy-efficient glass a mainstream choice in architectural design.

The partnership also showcases ClearVue’s adaptability and its focus on creating sustainable building solutions that address both energy generation and climate-specific requirements. The deal highlights ClearVue’s commitment to innovation, positioning the company as a key player in the evolving market of energy-efficient building materials. As of the latest market data, ClearVue (ASX:CPV) shares were last traded at 27.5 cents.

This collaboration signifies ClearVue’s growth in the international market, offering the potential for new advancements in solar-integrated construction solutions.
