Global electronics design leader Altium (ASX:ALU) has announced the acquisition of Milwaukee-based Part Analytics, a cutting-edge AI-powered supply chain management platform. What the Acquisition Brings

Part Analytics, known for its robust supply chain management solutions, focuses on helping manufacturers make data-driven decisions for large-scale component planning and procurement. By integrating Part Analytics into Altium 365, the acquisition introduces a component and parts management application tailored to serve Electronics Supply Chain and Category Managers.

This move significantly broadens Altium’s customer base, uniting designers, manufacturers, and procurement teams in a seamless ecosystem. The advanced capabilities brought by Part Analytics also complement Altium’s enterprise solutions by providing a comprehensive parts catalog and enhancing the sourcing and lifecycle management processes.

Altium President Aram Mirkazemi highlighted the strategic importance of the acquisition:

“Altium’s acquisition of Part Analytics represents a further step forward toward our vision of a fully connected electronics value chain and Electronics Lifecycle Management system for enterprise organizations. Part Analytics will play an important role in our transformative pursuit of the electronics industry.”

The Role of Part Analytics

Its procurement application has earned a strong reputation for enhancing enterprise-level supply chain management.

Jithendra Palasagaram, CEO of Part Analytics, expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition:

“By joining Altium, Part Analytics’ electronics supply management platform will become part of a vast, connected electronics creation ecosystem. Customers can now more efficiently execute design, sourcing, component acquisition, and lifecycle management through a single platform.”

Strategic Vision

The integration of Part Analytics aligns with Altium’s broader vision of creating an open electronics design and lifecycle management platform. By expanding its capabilities, Altium is positioning itself to address the increasing complexities of supply chain and procurement management in the electronics sector.
