- Bowman to guide strategic US engagement through Flash Metals USA
- Focus on secure, domestic rare earths recovery using FJH technology
MTM Critical Metals (ASX:MTM) has welcomed Gregory Bowman, a highly respected US defense and national security specialist, to its advisory board—an appointment that signals a significant step in the company's global strategy for rare earths and precious metal recovery.
As MTM, soon to be rebranded as Metallium, ramps up its patented Flash Joule Heating (FJH) technology, the addition of Mr. Bowman is expected to bring key insights into public-private partnerships and strategic engagement across the US industrial and defense sectors.
Strengthening the US Footprint with Strategic Talent
Bowman’s advisory position is tied specifically to Flash Metals USA, MTM’s wholly owned US subsidiary. His extensive background, which includes more than two decades of service in the US Army and senior roles in defense-related enterprises, positions him as a vital contributor in helping the company align with America’s national priorities on critical minerals.
MTM’s FJH technology allows for efficient extraction of high-value materials—such as gallium, germanium, antimony, rare earth elements, and gold—from secondary sources like refinery waste and electronic scrap. This innovative method addresses the pressing need for sustainable and secure domestic supply chains, particularly for rare earth elements.
Aligning with National Interests and Federal Strategy
The US market represents a core focus for MTM’s technology, especially due to growing concerns about supply chain resilience in the defense sector. With mounting pressure to develop domestic sources of strategic materials, Flash Metals USA aims to establish a modular, onshore platform that directly contributes to these objectives.
Bowman's strategic knowledge and policy acumen are expected to support Flash Metals USA’s outreach to US stakeholders, including access to programmatic funding and alignment with federal industrial policies. His involvement is seen as instrumental in accelerating the firm’s presence in the critical minerals landscape.
A Vision for Sustainable Strategic Metals Recovery
MTM’s vision to scale its recovery technology aligns with broader trends in resource sustainability, and Bowman’s guidance is poised to boost engagement with influential government and industry bodies. As the need for secure rare earth supplies continues to rise, companies like MTM are playing a pivotal role in enabling technological self-sufficiency.
