Highlights

  • Resolution Minerals expands presence with Idaho-based Horse Heaven project
  • High-grade gold and antimony results spark optimism
  • Upcoming drilling campaign aims to explore deeper sulfide zones

Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX:RML) is positioning itself strategically in the U.S. mining landscape through the acquisition of the Horse Heaven project in Idaho. The move not only enhances the company's critical metals portfolio but also places it adjacent to one of the country's most significant upcoming gold operations.

Strategic Location and Infrastructure Edge

The Horse Heaven project spans 57 square kilometres and shares a border with the flagship asset of Perpetua Resources (NASDAQ:PPTA), which is forecasted to produce around 450,000 ounces of gold annually and meet up to 35% of the U.S. antimony needs. This advantageous proximity provides Resolution Minerals access to key infrastructure — including a high-voltage power line and established road network — directly across its newly acquired property.

Promising Early-Stage Results

Resolution has highlighted encouraging exploration outcomes from the Golden Gate target within Horse Heaven. Key intercepts include:

  • 36 metres at 1.5 grams per tonne of gold

  • 71 metres at 1.4 grams per tonne

  • 60 metres at over 1 gram per tonne

These results suggest strong shallow oxide gold mineralisation potential. In addition, rock chip sampling has revealed silver values nearing 400 grams per tonne and antimony concentrations as high as 19%. Notably, prior drilling programs did not assess antimony or tungsten content, leaving substantial room for deeper investigations.

Future-Driven Exploration Strategy

Looking ahead, Resolution plans a 6,000-metre, 20-hole drilling campaign set to commence later this year. The focus will shift toward identifying and testing sulfide zones, which could host even stronger mineralisation, particularly for antimony and tungsten.

The company has also pointed to growing U.S. governmental backing for domestic critical mineral initiatives. With antimony being a designated strategic element, the Horse Heaven project could gain further relevance in the evolving resource landscape.

A Transformational Prospect

Resolution Minerals' latest venture underlines its broader strategic ambition: aligning with global demand for both precious and critical metals while tapping into underexplored yet infrastructure-rich terrains. As geopolitical priorities lean increasingly toward resource security, particularly within North America, assets like Horse Heaven may prove pivotal in shaping the company’s long-term trajectory.
