  • New funds to fuel portfolio expansion in private credit
  • NAV expected to reach $2.44 billion post-placement

Metrics Master Income Trust (ASX:MXT), managed by Metrics Credit Partners, has successfully completed a substantial capital raise of $315 million through a wholesale placement. With this milestone, the trust strengthens its presence in the private credit market, offering investors broader exposure and diversified lending opportunities.

The placement involved issuing 157.5 million new shares at $2 each, with the newly issued units scheduled to commence trading next Friday. At the time of the trading halt, shares in the trust last closed at $2.03. The move signals strong market confidence and institutional interest in the trust's strategy and income-generation profile.

Following the placement, the fund’s Net Asset Value (NAV) is set to reach approximately $2.44 billion. These funds are earmarked for deployment into new lending initiatives, further aligning with Metrics Master Income Trust’s investment objectives, which include targeting an annual return of 3.25% above the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) Cash Rate.

Since inception, the trust has demonstrated significant growth, expanding its portfolio from just 55 directly originated loan assets to now over 300. This robust pipeline underlines the trust’s capability in identifying and managing high-quality private credit opportunities. Importantly, it provides investors with monthly cash income and liquidity through ASX secondary market trading, setting it apart from traditional fixed-income instruments.

This development arrives at a time when investor appetite for income-generating opportunities is growing, especially in the context of a volatile interest rate environment. For those exploring options in ASX dividend stocks, vehicles like Metrics Master Income Trust may offer exposure to consistent cash flows backed by diversified loan portfolios.

The trust’s manager, Metrics Credit Partners, is the private credit investment affiliate of Pinnacle Investment Management (ASX:PNI). By leveraging Pinnacle’s distribution strength and institutional networks, the trust has carved out a distinctive position in the Australian private debt space.

As investors increasingly track broader market performance via the ASX200 index, instruments like Metrics Master Income Trust provide a complementary approach to capital preservation and income generation. The latest capital raise not only supports further portfolio growth but also reinforces the trust’s standing among large-scale private credit platforms available on the ASX.

With its enlarged asset base and focus on consistent monthly distributions, Metrics Master Income Trust is poised to continue delivering stable outcomes for income-focused investors.
