- Domino’s strengthens board with seasoned FMCG leader
- New appointment brings deep operational expertise
- Strategic move to support group-wide performance goals
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises (ASX:DMP) has announced the appointment of Coca-Cola executive Peter West to its board, marking a strategic move aimed at enhancing the company's leadership strength and operational performance. The appointment is effective immediately.
Peter West brings extensive experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, currently serving as Regional Managing Director at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (ASX:CCEP). In his role, he oversees 48 manufacturing and production sites across Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, and other Pacific Islands.
West’s background in managing large-scale operations across diverse geographies is seen as a strong asset for Domino’s as it seeks to optimise its global footprint and enhance group-wide execution. His appointment aligns with the pizza chain’s ongoing focus on strategic transformation and operational improvement across its network.
The leadership addition comes at a time when Domino’s is sharpening its focus on performance and efficiencies, following a period of mixed results across its international markets. The company has been actively implementing changes to improve profitability and drive growth, particularly in the wake of evolving consumer habits and global economic pressures.
In addition to his current role at Coca-Cola, West has held senior leadership positions at major FMCG brands such as Arnotts Biscuits and Mars. His broad experience in the food and beverage industry is expected to provide valuable insights to Domino’s, particularly in areas such as supply chain optimisation, brand management, and regional strategy.
Domino’s emphasised that West’s appointment supports its commitment to refreshing the board with relevant expertise that aligns with its global business strategy. With his proven track record in strategic leadership and operational excellence, the board sees West as a valuable contributor in helping guide the company through its next phase of development.
This move reflects a broader trend among ASX-listed companies to bring in industry veterans with a strong understanding of regional dynamics and operational scale, especially in competitive and rapidly changing sectors like food and beverage.
As Domino’s continues to evolve its business model and address challenges across its operating markets, West’s appointment is viewed as a step towards reinforcing the company’s governance and positioning it for sustainable long-term performance.
