Highlights

  • Firebrick Pharma secures retail deal with Guardian pharmacies in Singapore
  • Nasodine nasal spray to launch across 121 stores, including Changi Airport.
  • Former J&J executive joins to expedite Singaporean market expansion.

Firebrick Pharma (ASX:FRE) has announced a significant step in its international expansion strategy with the launch of its flagship antiseptic nasal spray, Nasodine, in Singapore. The company has partnered with Guardian, a prominent pharmacy chain, to bring the product directly to retail consumers. This collaboration marks a pivotal milestone as Nasodine transitions from an online-focused product to one available across 121 physical stores, including six located at Changi Airport.

Innovative Solution for Germ Protection

Nasodine, often likened to a nasal counterpart of hand sanitizers, is designed to address general hygiene concerns. The spray aims to provide reassurance for users in environments such as public transport or office spaces, where exposure to germs is heightened. The product does not target specific conditions but instead serves as a preventive antiseptic nasal spray. Firebrick has positioned Nasodine as a tool for those seeking added protection against daily germ exposure.

Retail Rollout and Market Timing

The initial shipment to Singapore is set for next month, with the product anticipated to hit shelves by January next year. The inclusion of Changi Airport in the rollout plan is a strategic move to tap into both local and international consumer demand, leveraging the airport's high foot traffic.

Support from Leadership and Expertise

To strengthen its market entry, Firebrick recently brought onboard Keith Shortall, a former Johnson & Johnson executive. Shortall has been tasked with accelerating the product's reach and growth in Singapore, aiming to establish a robust foothold by June next year. This appointment reflects Firebrick's commitment to driving rapid international growth and establishing Nasodine as a household name in antiseptic solutions.

Training and Consumer Engagement

Firebrick is also investing in training Guardian pharmacists to ensure effective consumer engagement and product knowledge. This approach aligns with the company's broader strategy of promoting Nasodine through healthcare professionals and retail channels, expanding its reach and visibility.

Firebrick’s Executive Chairman, Dr. Peter Molloy, expressed confidence in the move, highlighting the anticipated sales growth from this retail expansion. The Singapore launch marks a significant chapter in Firebrick Pharma's growth narrative as it positions itself to capture a growing demand for innovative health and hygiene solutions.
