The United States Energy Information Administration (EIA) anticipates the U.S. electricity consumption to decline by 3.6 per cent in 2020 as coronavirus lockdowns cause businesses to close.
- As per the organisation, the power demand across the United States will drop by 3.63 per cent against the previous year at 3,813 billion kilowatt hours.
- However, the electricity demand is estimated to recover thereafter in 2021 at 3,849 billion kilowatt hours.
