Far Limited’s Pre-Emption Claims Rejected by Arbitral Tribunal

FAR Ltd (ASX:FAR) received the arbitral tribunal’s award in respect of the issues heard in July 2019 in the arbitration against Woodside Energy Senegal BV in the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce.

  • The tribunal has concluded that the Senegal RSSD Joint Operating Agreement does not permit to the JOA Parties a pre-emption right over a deal involving a sale of shares in a JOA Party;
  • The Tribunal has concluded that the Company did not have a pre-emption right over the 2016 sale of shares of RSSD 35% interest holder, Woodside Energy Senegal BV Limited.

At AEST 12:53PM, the stock was trading at $0.033 per share, down by 2.941% from its previous close.
