AVZ Minerals Limited

AVZ Minerals Limited (ASX:AVZ) is a Mount Hawthorn, Australia-based well-known mineral exploration company with major operations in central Africa. AVZ has a market capitalisation of around AUD 77.43 million with approximately 1.89 billion outstanding shares. With the close of the trading session on February 18th, the AVZ stock last traded at a market price of AUD 0.044, up 7.317%, indicating an intra-day gain of AUD 0.003. Although, the stock has generated a high negative YTD return of 44.59% so far. The company recently reported excellent drill results comprising high-grade lithium and tin mineralisation. Galaxy Resources Limited (ASX:GXY) is based in Applecross and engaged in the production of lithium concentrate and also explores for minerals in Argentina, Canada, as well as Australia. The company holds interests in many projects across these three locations. Galaxy has a market capitalisation of AUD 823.2 million and approximately 407.52 million outstanding shares. At the close of trading on ASX on February 18th, 2019, the GXY stock last traded at a price of AUD 2.010, down 0.495%, indicating an intra-day fall of AUD 0.010. Around 2.47 million volume of shares were traded in total. The stock’s YTD return also remains low at a negative 7.76%. For the previous quarter ended December 31st, 2018, Galaxy Resources had closing cash and liquid assets at USD 41.1 million with zero debt.

Anson Resources Limited

The West Perth-based Anson Resources Limited (ASX:ASN), established in 2009, is engaged in the exploration and development of natural resources across the US and Western Australia. Its primarily explore for lithium, gold, lead, zinc, silver, graphite, and nickel-cobalt laterites. ASN has a market capitalisation of AUD 40.62 million with approximately 495.36 million outstanding shares. With the close of the trading session on February 18th, the ASN stock last traded at a market price of AUD 0.082, with no intra-day changes. The stock has generated a YTD return of 6.49% so far. Recently, the company announced that it has commenced drilling the re-entry of the Skyline Unit 1 well at its flagship Paradox Brine Project in Utah. Anson Resources reported the cash and cash equivalents at the end of the quarter ended December 31st, 2018, at AUD 2.89 million.

Lynas Corporation Limited

The Kuantan, Malaysia-based Lynas Corporation Limited (ASX:LYC) is another company from the metals and mining sector and engaged in mining, extraction, development, exploration, and processing of rare minerals across Malaysia and Australia. Lynas has a market capitalisation of AUD 1.22 billion with approximately 665.68 million outstanding shares. At the close of last trading session on February 18th, 2019, the LYC stock traded at a market price of AUD 1.815, down 1.09%, indicating an intra-day loss of AUD 0.020. So far in the year, the stock has performed well and generated a positive YTD return of 19.54%.
