Vertiv (NYSE:VRT), a global leader in critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, has announced that its Chinese subsidiary has acquired certain assets and technologies of BiXin Energy Technology (BSE), a prominent manufacturer specializing in oil-free, magnetic-bearing centrifugal chillers and heat-related solutions. Founded in 2010, BSE brings a wealth of industry experience, innovative products, and a strong presence in China and other Asian markets.
BSE’s flagship products include water-cooled and air-cooled chillers with cooling capacities up to 5.5 MW, which are vital for maintaining optimal conditions in data centers, industrial facilities, and other high-performance environments. The acquisition significantly strengthens Vertiv’s portfolio, especially in supporting high-performance compute and AI applications globally. These chillers are crucial in managing the heat load generated by advanced computing systems, positioning Vertiv to meet the growing demand for high-performance cooling solutions in the data-driven era.
Since early 2024, Vertiv has already partnered with BSE to manufacture Vertiv-branded products for customers across China and the broader Asian market. The acquisition solidifies this partnership and aligns Vertiv with BSE’s patented technologies and R&D capabilities, which will enhance its own product development in cooling systems. Additionally, BSE is an AHRI-certified test facility and a China High and New-Technology Enterprise, adding credibility and industry recognition to Vertiv's expanded offerings. BSE's products are also AHRI and CRAA certified, meeting high industry standards for performance and efficiency.
The acquisition provides Vertiv with enhanced technology capabilities, making it a more competitive player in the growing sectors of AI and high-performance computing. As these industries continue to expand, the demand for efficient, high-capacity cooling solutions is expected to rise significantly. By incorporating BSE’s advanced technology, Vertiv can better address the needs of its customers with more efficient, scalable cooling systems, driving greater energy efficiency and reliability for critical applications.
In addition to expanding Vertiv’s technological edge, the acquisition strengthens the company's footprint in the Asian markets, where BSE has built a strong reputation and distribution network. Vertiv can now leverage BSE’s established market presence and local expertise to enhance its operations and customer engagement in China and throughout the region.
Overall, the acquisition of BSE assets represents a strategic move for Vertiv, enabling it to further capitalize on the booming demand for high-performance cooling solutions and reinforce its position as a leader in digital infrastructure. With the combined strengths of Vertiv’s global reach and BSE’s innovative technologies, the company is well-positioned to support the future growth of AI, compute, and data center industries worldwide.
