(Nasdaq: SOUN), a global leader in voice artificial intelligence, has announced the launch of its innovative SoundHound Chat AI voice assistant, integrated with ChatGPT, in Peugeot, Opel, and Vauxhall vehicles. This rollout spans 11 European markets, including Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom. By the end of July, the technology will be available in 17 markets and support 12 different languages, marking a significant milestone in the expansion of voice AI in the automotive industry.

In March 2024, SoundHound AI made headlines by partnering with Stellantis' DS Automobiles, becoming the first automaker globally to implement a voice assistant with the latest generative AI technology. The SoundHound Chat AI product, featuring integrated ChatGPT, was launched across 18 countries and offered in 13 languages. This groundbreaking integration set the stage for an enhanced driving experience, combining interactive knowledge discovery, real-time data access, and seamless in-vehicle controls.
Extending the Innovation to More Brands
Building on the success with DS Automobiles, Stellantis is now extending the deployment of SoundHound Chat AI to include Peugeot, Opel, and Vauxhall vehicles. Enhancing Driving Experience with AI
Starting in July 2024, new vehicles from Peugeot, Opel, and Vauxhall will come equipped with SoundHound Chat AI as a standard feature. Additionally, for certain older models, the voice assistant will be available on-demand and can be delivered via over-the-air updates, eliminating the need for a dealership visit. This flexibility ensures that more drivers can benefit from the advanced capabilities of the AI assistant.
