Optex Systems Holdings, Inc., a prominent manufacturer of precision optical sighting systems, has announced that it has secured contracts worth $2.1 million from two domestic customers to support ongoing armored vehicle production. This significant contract reflects Optex’s commitment to providing high-quality optical systems for both military and commercial applications, with deliveries expected over the next 18 months.
Danny Schoening, CEO of Optex Systems, emphasized the importance of these contracts for domestic armored vehicle manufacturers. “Optex continues to support our domestic armored vehicle manufacturers through the ongoing supply of laser protected periscopes. These units provide our customers with real-time situational awareness while protecting them from harmful laser strikes,” Schoening stated. The periscopes are essential for enhancing the safety and operational effectiveness of military vehicles in the field.
With the recent contracts, Optex’s current backlog now exceeds $45 million, indicating robust demand for its products and services. This growing backlog highlights the company’s ability to secure significant contracts and its ongoing role as a critical supplier to the U.S. military and defense contractors.
