Everspin Technologies, Inc. {NASDAQ:MRAM} has announced a strategic partnership with Lucid Motors, which will incorporate Everspin's PERSYST MRAM into its recently unveiled Gravity SUV. The selected MRAM component, the MR25H256A, is a 256Kb serial MRAM that complies with the AEC Q100 Grade 1 specification, making it well-suited for automotive applications that require operation across a wide temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
In the Gravity SUV, the MR25H256A will play a crucial role in data logging and parameter storage, enhancing the efficient operation of the vehicle's all-electric powertrain. This integration underscores the importance of reliable memory solutions in the evolving landscape of electric vehicles, where performance and data integrity are paramount.
Everspin's PERSYST MRAM technology has also been successfully deployed in the Lucid Air, further demonstrating its reliability and effectiveness in challenging automotive environments. The PERSYST family is recognized for delivering the highest-performing persistent memory in the industry, characterized by virtually infinite write endurance, rapid write speeds, and low read latency. These features are particularly valuable for handling stringent memory workloads and safeguarding essential user data, even in scenarios involving power loss or interruptions.
This collaboration with Lucid Motors not only highlights the capabilities of Everspin's advanced memory solutions but also reinforces the company's position as a leader in the automotive memory market, particularly as the demand for electric vehicles continues to rise. As Everspin expands its footprint in this sector, its innovative technologies are expected to support the next generation of electric vehicles with enhanced performance and reliability.
