LeddarTech Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq:LDTC) is set to unveil its cutting-edge LeddarVision Surround-View (LVS-2+) at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, one of the most significant technology events of the year. The LVS-2+ is a state-of-the-art surround-view software stack designed for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that supports both L2 and L2+ autonomy levels. This platform incorporates LeddarTech’s innovative 5V5R sensor fusion technology, enabling enhanced vehicle detection and comprehensive safety features.
The LVS-2+ system is designed to support vehicle speeds up to 160 km/h, with a detection range extending to 200 meters. This impressive range makes it capable of functioning effectively on both urban streets and rural highways under a wide range of driving conditions. The system’s powerful configuration consists of an 8 MP front camera, four 2-3 MP surround cameras, and five radars, all of which are integrated with the Texas Instruments (TI) TDA4VH-Q1 processor, delivering high-performance data processing and sensor fusion for accurate and reliable vehicle sensing.
LeddarTech will be showcasing interactive demonstrations at CES, including a LeddarVision Dashboard, a 360° Virtual Reality Experience, and live on-road demonstrations, offering attendees a firsthand look at the groundbreaking capabilities of the LVS-2+ system. In addition to these demonstrations, LeddarTech will highlight its strategic collaborations with industry leaders, such as Texas Instruments and Arm. These partnerships are pivotal to the success of LVS-2+, with TI providing the processor platform for sensor data fusion and Arm powering the AWS G5g platform for enhanced system performance.
The LVS-2+ not only focuses on high-speed detection but also offers a full suite of ADAS features that enhance vehicle safety. These include Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), and Rear Cross Traffic Warning (RCW). With these features integrated into the system, LVS-2+ aims to offer a comprehensive solution for both highway and city driving scenarios.
From a business perspective, the introduction of LVS-2+ represents a significant leap forward for LeddarTech, strengthening its position in the ADAS and autonomous vehicle market. The company’s continued investment in sensor fusion technology and its strategic collaborations with tech giants like Texas Instruments and Arm demonstrate its commitment to advancing the capabilities of autonomous driving systems. As consumer demand for advanced safety features in vehicles grows, LeddarTech’s innovative solutions are well-positioned to capitalize on the expanding ADAS market.
