Faraday Future (Nasdaq:FFIE) has announced the appointment of Dr. Lei Gu as President of the FX Global EV Research and Development Center and Vehicle Line Executive for the FX 6. Dr. Gu brings more than two decades of experience in automotive research and development, having held senior positions at major companies such as Ford Motor Company, Chery Automobile, and BAIC Group.
In his new role, Dr. Gu will oversee all aspects of Faraday Future's EV R&D efforts, including powertrain, body, chassis, interior and exterior design, and thermal management systems. His responsibilities will also involve close collaboration with the company's Internet, Autonomous Driving, and Intelligence (IAI) R&D teams to develop innovative and cutting-edge solutions for Faraday Future's electric vehicles.
Dr. Gu’s appointment is part of Faraday Future’s broader strategy to strengthen its product development capabilities and accelerate the launch of the FX brand. With his extensive international experience and expertise in mobilizing global resources, Dr. Gu is expected to play a key role in advancing Faraday Future's business objectives and driving forward the company's EV innovations.
