Hexcel Corporation (NYSE: HXL) Appoints Thomas C. Gentile III as CEO & President

Hexcel Corporation (NYSE: HXL) has informed that after an extensive succession process, Thomas C. Gentile III has been selected to serve as the Chief Executive Officer & President of the company, effective May 1. He is also anticipated to join the Board of Directors subsequent to the annual shareholder meeting scheduled for May 2.

Gentile will take over from Nick Stanage, who currently holds the positions of Chairman, CEO & President. Stanage has collaborated closely with the Board regarding his decision to retire by the end of the year. Upon his retirement on December 31, 2024, Stanage will transition to the role of Executive Chairman of the Board to facilitate a seamless and successful transition.

Rich experience of Thomas C. Gentile III

Mr. Gentile brings a wealth of experience as a seasoned CEO, showcasing a proven track record of driving growth and transformation within technology-focused industries such as aviation, healthcare, and financial services. His most recent role incudes serving as President and CEO from 2016 to 2023 at Spirit AeroSystems. Prior to that, he held various leadership roles at GE, spanning across the United States, France, and Australia. Mr. Gentile has held multiple leadership positions, such as President & CEO of GE Capital, GE Healthcare Systems, and GE Aviation Services. Currently, he acts as an Executive Advisor to the Dean of the Barton School of Business. Previously he chaired the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) in 2023. Mr. Gentile holds a degree in economics and an MBA from Harvard University. Moreover he pursued studies in international relations at the London School of Economics.

HXL shares closed 12.38% were closed USD 62.34 apiece on 11 April 2024.
