Patterson Companies, Inc. (Nasdaq:PDCO), a prominent distribution company in the dental and animal health sectors, has announced significant strides in its Animal Health business through two separate acquisition agreements. The company will acquire Infusion Concepts in the United Kingdom and Mountain Vet Supply in the United States, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing its portfolio and market presence in veterinary care.

In the U.K., Patterson’s National Veterinary Services Limited (NVS) is set to acquire Infusion Concepts Ltd., a leading provider of infusion, drainage, and critical care products tailored for the veterinary profession. This strategic acquisition is particularly noteworthy as it underscores Patterson’s dedication to offering high-quality products that meet the evolving needs of veterinary partners and their animal patients.

George Henriques, President of Patterson Companion Animal, expressed enthusiasm about the addition of Infusion Concepts to their portfolio. “We are excited to add the entire Infusion Concepts product line to our portfolio. Their expertise in designing infusion pumps specifically for animals, coupled with their high-quality standards, aligns with our mission of delivering excellence in animal health care for veterinarians,” he stated. Henriques emphasized that this acquisition aligns with Patterson’s strategy of investing in the animal health industry, signaling the company’s ongoing commitment to growth and innovation.

In the United States, Patterson’s production animal business, Animal Health International, Inc., will acquire a majority of the operating assets related to Mountain Vet Supply, a well-established regional distributor based in Fort Collins, Colorado. This acquisition aims to enhance Patterson Animal Health’s footprint in both the production and companion animal markets, allowing for increased operational leverage and synergies with strategic vendors. The move will also enable Animal Health International, Inc. to deliver exceptional customer service to Mountain Vet Supply’s existing clientele.

Steve Cunningham, President of Patterson Production Animal, noted the significance of Mountain Vet Supply’s longstanding presence in the region. “Mountain Vet Supply has been a cornerstone in Fort Collins for nearly 40 years, supplying ranchers and producers through their retail store and customer delivery structure. We look forward to serving their customer base in the Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Montana markets. We welcome our new colleagues to the Animal Health International, Inc. team and look forward to continued success together,” Cunningham stated.

While the specific terms of both transactions have not been disclosed, Patterson anticipates closing these acquisitions during its second fiscal quarter of FY2025. The integration of Infusion Concepts and Mountain Vet Supply is expected to create a robust platform for further expansion in the animal health sector, enhancing the overall service offerings available to veterinarians and animal owners alike.

These acquisitions align with Patterson companies’ broader strategy of strengthening its position within the animal health market. By incorporating innovative products and expanding its reach, Patterson aims to foster improved care standards for animals and support veterinary professionals in their critical work.

As Patterson Companies moves forward with these strategic acquisitions, the company is poised to become an even more integral player in the veterinary market, providing enhanced products and services that support the health and well-being of animals across the globe.
