GRAIL, Inc. (NASDAQ:GRAL), a leader in multi-cancer early detection, has reported strong financial and business results for Q4 and full-year 2024, underscoring the increasing adoption of its Galleri multi-cancer early detection (MCED) test.

Revenue and Financial Performance

GRAIL’s total revenue grew 26% year-over-year in Q4, reaching $38.3 million, driven by a 39% increase in Galleri test sales to $31.6 million. For the full year, revenue surged 35% to $125.6 million, with Galleri contributing $108.6 million (a 45% increase).

The company’s net loss for Q4 improved to $97.1 million, a 48% reduction from the previous year. However, the full-year net loss stood at $2.0 billion, impacted by a $1.4 billion goodwill impairment related to the Illumina acquisition.

GRAIL ended 2024 with a strong cash position of $766.8 million, ensuring resources for further expansion and innovation.

Expanding Access Through TRICARE Coverage

A major milestone in 2024 was TRICARE Health Insurance adding the Galleri test as a covered benefit for individuals aged 50 and older at elevated risk for cancer. This expands access to millions of U.S. military personnel, retirees, and their families.

Scientific Validation and Healthcare Integration

A Lancet Oncology study published in 2024 confirmed Galleri’s high patient satisfaction and minimal distress among those tested, reinforcing the test’s role in routine cancer screening.

In another breakthrough, GRAIL partnered with Quest Diagnostics, enabling doctors to order the Galleri test electronically via 7,400+ Quest locations. This integration simplifies test access, eliminating the need for patients to bring test kits to appointments.
