Futura Medical PLC, a player in the healthcare sector, has announced a notable achievement with its first-ever profit. For the first half of 2024, the company reported a profit of £1 million on revenue of £7 million. The company concluded this period with £3.9 million in cash on its balance sheet.
Positive Outlook for 2024
Futura Medical Plc (OTC:FAMDF) has provided a positive forecast for the full year, indicating that both revenue and profit are expected to "significantly exceed" market expectations. This announcement follows the initial pilot launch of the company’s erectile dysfunction gel, Eroxon, which has been met with favorable reception.
Product Launch and Expansion
The company is preparing for the US launch of Eroxon, a fast-acting gel designed to help users achieve an erection within ten minutes. Eroxon, which is being launched in partnership with healthcare giant Haleon, is already available for pre-order online and is expected to be in stores in the US from October.
The upcoming US launch triggers a milestone payment for Futura Medical, similar in scale to the previous one. Eroxon has already been successfully introduced in over ten countries, including key European markets such as France, Italy, and Spain, with additional launches planned for 2024.
Enhanced Production and Licensing
To support the growing demand for Eroxon, Futura Medical has engaged two new contract manufacturers to enhance its supply chain and production capacity. Additionally, the company has extended its licensing agreement with Cooper until 2029, ensuring continued market access and stability
