North Bay Resources Inc. has announced promising assay results from its ongoing underground sampling program at the Mt. Vernon Gold Mine in Sierra County, California within Gold Sector. This project, which focuses on the extraction of both precious and platinum group metals, has revealed valuable findings, adding to the company's optimism about the site's potential.
High-Value Assays Indicate Strong Mineralization
The recent underground sampling at the Mt. Vernon Gold Mine confirmed high grades of gold, platinum, palladium, and rhodium, with up to 5 ounces per ton of gold, 1.5 ounces per ton of platinum, and smaller but notable quantities of palladium and rhodium. These results were validated by Enviro-Chem Analytical Laboratory and align with prior assessments, confirming the site’s capacity for multi-metal extraction.
This sampling was conducted over a 230-foot stretch, providing a comprehensive picture of the mine's potential as North Bay Resources (OTC: NBRI) prepares for bulk tonnage mining operations. The company has outlined plans to extract 497 tons of ore, which will be processed at its Bishop Gold Mill to separate and concentrate the valuable metals.
Bulk Tonnage Mining and Processing Capabilities
The Mt. Vernon Gold Mine remains largely undeveloped, yet the consistent high-grade results from earlier and recent sampling suggest the site’s viability for large-scale extraction. The company aims to begin mining from four tunnels, focusing on the site's 200-foot-wide gold-bearing zone, which has returned consistent assay grades exceeding 1 ounce of gold per ton.
North Bay Resources’ Bishop Gold Mill has been proven efficient in processing gold and platinum group metals, enabling the company to streamline its extraction process and potentially increase its output from the Mt. Vernon site.
Significant Mining Potential Ahead
With an estimated ore body of approximately 954,000 tons, the Mt. Vernon Gold Mine represents a significant opportunity for North Bay Resources. The high-grade assay results have strengthened the company’s resolve to move forward with extensive mining operations, with both gold and platinum group metals contributing to the site’s overall value.
As North Bay Resources continues to evaluate and develop this promising site, its ability to efficiently extract and process high-value metals will be key to its success in the competitive Gold sector.
