Mather Group LLC. increased its holdings in shares of Loews Co. (NYSE:L) during the fourth quarter, according to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The firm’s stake in the insurance provider grew by 7.7% after acquiring an additional 161 shares, bringing its total ownership to 2,248 shares. By the end of the reporting period, the total value of this position was approximately $190,000.

Institutional Interest Continues to Grow

A number of other institutional investors have also expanded their positions in Loews in recent months. Brooklyn Investment Group entered a new position in the company during the third quarter. Similarly, Eastern Bank and Wilmington Savings Fund Society FSB each acquired new stakes in the company. These investments reflect increased interest in the insurance provider, with Wilmington Savings Fund Society FSB’s stake reaching a valuation of $49,000.

Quest Partners LLC was another firm to take a position in Loews during the third quarter. Blue Trust Inc. also significantly increased its stake in the company, raising its holdings by 240.5%. As a result, Blue Trust Inc. now owns 2,360 shares, valued at approximately $176,000. This increase follows a purchase of 1,667 additional shares.
