Target Corp. (NYSE:TGT) has announced significant price reductions for its Thanksgiving meal offerings, positioning itself as a competitive choice for holiday shoppers. The popular Thanksgiving meal, which includes turkey, stuffing, and five additional side dishes, is now priced at $20, a $5 decrease from last year’s offering. This meal is designed to serve four people and is easily adjustable to accommodate larger gatherings.
In a bid to enhance the holiday experience, Target will also provide a complimentary frozen pizza with any same-day delivery order for members of the Target Circle 360 paid program, celebrating one of the busiest pizza days of the year. This promotion will run from November 13 to 16, catering to families preparing for Thanksgiving festivities.
To further emphasize affordability, Target is offering turkey at the competitive price of 79 cents per pound, reflecting a 20% reduction compared to the previous year. Alongside the turkey, a variety of side dishes, pies, and desserts will be available for under $5. Notable items in the Thanksgiving meal include Good & Gather Premium Basted Young Turkey, russet potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, and stuffing mix, among others.
Additionally, Target's holiday lineup includes new food and beverage items, with nearly 700 new offerings, as well as a collection of home decor and gifts from designer John Derian, featuring dinnerware and novelty items priced below $40.
To maintain competitiveness, Target has announced a broader strategy to lower prices on over 10,000 items during the holiday season, including everyday essentials, food and beverages, and holiday gifts. This follows the retailer's earlier commitment to reduce prices on about 5,000 items, aiming to attract budget-conscious shoppers during this crucial shopping period.
