The upcoming Crop Production report is expected to reveal a modest increase in yield, rising to 53.3 bushels per acre. Harvested acres are anticipated to remain unchanged this month, with a projected production total of 4.595 billion bushels, marking a 6 million bushels increase from August. Projections for US carryout suggest a slight reduction in old crop bean stocks, estimated at 343 million bushels, while new crop stocks are expected to grow by 8 million bushels to 568 million bushels.
Crop Progress data indicates that condition ratings are holding steady at 65% good/excellent, with the Brugler500 index at 365. Among states, Illinois showed an improvement of 8 points, North Dakota increased by 5 points, and Ohio and Iowa saw a 3-point rise.
