Bowman Consulting Group Ltd. (NASDAQ:BWMN), a national engineering and program management firm listed on Nasdaq under the ticker BWMN, has received a new contract worth AUD 5.6 million to design ADA-compliant curb ramps at 1,200 locations across Philadelphia. The assignment represents the company’s largest ADA design contract to date in Pennsylvania and continues its sequence of annual awards from the city.
The project forms part of Philadelphia’s long-term accessibility initiative aimed at upgrading curb ramps in accordance with ADA requirements. Under this agreement, Bowman will manage a full suite of design responsibilities that include preparing alternative design solutions, coordinating with affected property owners and finalising certifications that align with standards set by PennDOT and the City of Philadelphia.
Expanding Role in Philadelphia’s Accessibility Program
With this new award, Bowman’s design work in Philadelphia now surpasses 3,000 curb ramp locations, covering more than one-third of the city’s broader target of installing 10,000 ADA-compliant ramps. The sustained pipeline of design assignments indicates continuing municipal demand for accessibility-focused engineering services and follows the city’s commitment to meet ADA requirements across all neighbourhoods by 2038.
Bowman’s ongoing participation in the program includes work across several years of phased infrastructure improvements. The company has contributed to design activities that support regulatory compliance, pedestrian mobility and public infrastructure modernisation throughout multiple districts of Philadelphia.
