The first quarter of 2023 hasn't even ended yet, and there have already been plenty of big moves, losers, and winners. Even while it's simple to jump on whatever trend is popular at the moment, long-term investors understand that the best returns come from purchasing and holding high-quality companies over the long term.

If you are a long-term investor, then you might flick through these two stocks listed on the US stock exchanges and see if they are worth exploring:

Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE:DAL)

It is one of the leading airlines in America. The world has reopened after two years of massive travel restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, so it might be a boon for the travel industry.

In the December quarter, Delta Air said it generated a double-digit operating margin and that its earnings per share (EPS) were ahead of the guidance.

In Q4 2022, the airline's operating revenue was US$ 13.4 billion, and the operating income stood at US$ 1.5 billion.

Delta Air said that it improved its fuel efficiency by 4.2 per cent in 2022 compared to 2019 by renewing its fleet and other initiatives.

The company also partnered with Aero Design Labs to further decrease its emissions through the novel drag-reduction technology.

Enphase Energy Inc. (NASDAQ:ENPH)

Enphase, a pioneer in energy storage and residential solar solutions, might be well-positioned as the US solar market expands. Over the next ten years, the installed solar capacity in the United States is anticipated to increase by 400 per cent, according to the Solar Energy Industries Association.

In Q4 2022, the company posted a record quarterly revenue of US$ 724.7 million. The GAAP gross margin of the company was 42.9 per cent, and GAAP operating income stood at US$ 157 million.

Enphase's net income in Q4 2022 was US$ 153.75 million compared to US$ 52.59 million in Q4 2021. Meanwhile, the basic EPS improved to US$ 1.13 from US$ 0.39 in the same comparable period.

For the full-year fiscal 2022, the revenue of the company was US$ 2.33 billion, significantly up from US$ 1.38 billion in 2021. On the other hand, the net income was US$ 397.36 million compared to US$ 145.44 million.
