  • Recycling Partnership: Recyclus Group will recycle end-of-life lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries for a major online retailer as part of their maintenance programme.
  • Safe Storage & Transport: The retailer will use Recyclus’ proprietary LiBox, a UN-certified and ADR-compliant storage solution for hazardous materials.
  • Sustainability Impact: The programme provides an eco-friendly, cradle-to-cradle solution for growing Li-ion battery waste amid the global electrification trend.

Technology Minerals Plc (LSE:TM1), the UK’s first listed company dedicated to advancing a sustainable circular economy for battery metals, has announced that its 48.35% owned subsidiary, Recyclus Group Ltd, has secured a significant contract to recycle end-of-life lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries for a leading online retailer.

As part of the partnership, the retailer will send used Li-ion battery packs to Recyclus’ industrial-scale recycling facility for processing. This marks a continuation of Recyclus’ work with the retailer, having already successfully recycled thousands of end-of-life batteries from the company.

Safe Storage and Transportation with LiBox
In addition to recycling, the programme incorporates Recyclus’ proprietary LiBox storage solution. The UN-certified and ADR-compliant boxes ensure the safe storage and transport of hazardous Li-ion batteries, meeting the highest global standards for handling such materials.

Driving Sustainability in Battery Recycling
This partnership reflects Recyclus’ commitment to mitigating the environmental hazards associated with the disposal of Li-ion batteries. The company's cradle-to-cradle approach addresses the challenges of managing rising volumes of battery waste as the global shift towards electrification accelerates.

By offering industrial-scale recycling and advanced solutions for battery storage and transportation, Recyclus provides a critical service to companies transitioning to greener technologies, ensuring sustainability throughout the battery lifecycle.
