Raspberry Pi (LSE:RPI), a global leader in low-cost computing, has announced a strategic partnership with SECO S.p.A, a top Italian provider of IoT solutions, payment systems, and industrial hardware. This collaboration comes in anticipation of the release of Raspberry Pi’s Compute Module 5 (CM5) and will focus on launching a new Human-Machine Interface (HMI) solution for the industrial and IoT markets.

Under this partnership, SECO will utilize its hardware design expertise to introduce a 10.1-inch HMI solution based on Raspberry Pi’s CM5, optimized for a wide range of industrial applications. The solution will support Raspberry Pi OS, facilitating easier integration for clients, and will feature Raspberry Pi Connect embedded within SECO's proprietary software platform, Clea. By incorporating Raspberry Pi Connect into Clea, SECO aims to offer a powerful IoT and industrial solution combining both companies' strengths.

This agreement underscores Raspberry Pi’s commitment to a direct-to-OEM strategy, aiming to enhance business opportunities for both organizations through collaborative hardware and software development. SECO’s proficiency in IoT and Raspberry Pi’s versatile compute solutions will jointly address the rising demand for customized industrial applications. SECO and Raspberry Pi are also exploring future areas of collaboration, such as image recognition and edge AI, with potential applications in energy management, smart buildings, healthcare, and industrial automation.
