Itaconix plc (LSE:ITX), a leader in plant-based specialty polymers, has announced a new collaboration with Bonals Technologies to accelerate the development and introduction of more sustainable, safer, and better-performing unit dose detergent tablets in the U.S. and Canada. This partnership is part of Itaconix's SPARX program, which aims to foster innovation in consumer products by integrating advanced specialty ingredients with state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies.

Bonals Technologies, based in Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert, France, is renowned for producing tableting equipment used by leading detergent tablet brands and contract manufacturers across Europe. Under the new agreement, Itaconix will work closely with Bonals and prominent detergent suppliers in North America to create the next generation of detergents that utilize Itaconix's innovative plant-based tablet formulations, manufactured using Bonals' advanced tableting technology.

The SPARX program, launched in October 2024, focuses on collaboration between specialty ingredients companies, contract manufacturers, and purpose-driven brands to drive breakthroughs in consumer products. The initiative has set an ambitious goal of launching at least ten new products resulting from these partnerships by the end of 2025. This collaboration with Bonals is a critical step towards meeting that target, with the focus on creating more sustainable and effective detergent tablets for the North American market.

This partnership combines Itaconix’s expertise in developing environmentally friendly, high-performance polymers with Bonals' innovative tableting solutions, setting the stage for a new era of eco-conscious and efficient detergent products.
