OGDCL Achieves Enhanced Oil Production at Pasakhi-5 Well in Sindh

Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) is pleased to announce the successful revival and enhancement of oil production at its Pasakhi-5 well, located in District Hyderabad, Sindh. This well is part of the Pasakhi Development & Production Lease (D&PL), in which OGDCL holds a 100% working interest.

As part of a strategic optimization effort, OGDCL deployed a rig to install an artificial lift system (ESP) to boost production capabilities. Prior to the installation, the well was producing 480 barrels of oil per day (BPD) through natural flow. After the installation of the ESP, production has surged to 900 BPD, marking an increase of 420 BPD.

This significant improvement demonstrates OGDCL’s commitment to utilizing innovative technologies to maximize energy output. It further strengthens the company’s role in ensuring a sustainable energy supply for Pakistan, contributing to the nation’s economic growth and energy security.
