Key Points:

  1. Strategic Partnership: ProBiotix teams up with Raff, a key player in the Mexican dairy and nutraceutical sectors.
  2. Market Potential: Mexico’s high cardiovascular disease rates present a lucrative opportunity for health-focused probiotic supplements.
  3. Product Launch: LPLDL® will be distributed exclusively by Raff, with sales expected to begin in late 2025 or early 2026.

ProBiotix Health plc (LSE:PBX), a life sciences company specializing in probiotics for cardiometabolic health, has announced a new commercial partnership with Mexican raw materials distributor, Raff. This partnership is set to boost ProBiotix's presence in the growing Mexican health market, particularly in addressing cardiovascular health through innovative probiotic ingredients.

Raff: A Key Player in the Mexican Market

Founded in 1999, Raff is a prominent distributor of raw materials and value-added ingredients, focusing on the dairy and nutraceutical sectors. With a well-trained technical team, the company specializes in lactic and probiotic cultures, enzymes, rennet, and preservatives, making it an ideal partner for ProBiotix’s expansion into Mexico.

Cardiovascular Health and Market Potential

Mexico, with a population of 131 million, faces significant health challenges, with cardiovascular disease accounting for nearly 24% of all deaths. Additionally, 3.6 million people in the country die annually from high cholesterol. The shift in healthcare focus from "cure" to "prevention" presents a promising opportunity for supplements aimed at reducing these risks, a trend that ProBiotix aims to capitalize on.

Partnership and Product Launch

The five-year agreement allows Raff to become the exclusive distributor of ProBiotix’s LPLDL® probiotic, which will be used as an ingredient in locally manufactured products. The launch is scheduled for the first half of 2025, with commercial sales expected by late 2025 or early 2026. This strategic partnership positions ProBiotix to make significant inroads into Mexico's health supplement market, providing effective solutions for cardiometabolic health.
