Schroder UK Mid Cap Fund PLC (LSE:SCP) has announced that Harry Morley will succeed Robert Talbut as Chair of the company, effective following the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for February 24, 2025. This transition is contingent upon Morley’s re-election as a Director at the upcoming AGM. Talbut, who has served on the Board for nine years, will not be seeking re-election.
Morley joined the Board as a non-executive Director in September 2023 and has since chaired the Remuneration Committee. His career spans several high-profile roles, including CEO of Armajaro Asset Management LLP, co-founder and CFO of Tragus Holdings Ltd, and significant positions within the shipping industry at P&O. A chartered accountant, Morley qualified with Price Waterhouse. Currently, he holds non-executive roles with JD Wetherspoon plc, where he chairs the Audit Committee, and TheWorks.co.uk plc, where he serves as Senior Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair.
