Although the exact reason for the rally is still unknown, this would be good news for ILV investors. The market for various play-to-earn game projects, such as Axie Infinity, The Sandbox, Star Atlas and Illuvium, has grown exponentially since NFTs and metaverse marriage.

Why is Illuvium so popular?

Being an open-world fantasy game, Illuvium is dubbed the first AAA game on the Ethereum platform. Not only does it provide entertainment for casual gamers, but also to hardcore DeFi gamers as well, due to its various features.

The ILV token holders get a staking facility and earn rewards from the network. In the game, the players can capture Illuvials – the creatures of the game – and use them in battle and nurse them back to health. The game can be considered as a fusion between an open-world exploration game and a PVP battle game. Kieran Warwick and Aaron Warwick found that each Illuvial NFT can be easily traded on external exchange platforms and the gas-free IlluviDEX.
