PPHE Receives Approval for New London Hotel Development

PPHE Hotel Group, a prominent player in the Consumer sector, has secured planning approval for a new mixed-use development on London’s South Bank. This project, situated on Westminster Bridge Road near Lambeth North Station, marks a significant addition to the FTSE 250 company's portfolio. 

Development Details 

The approved project includes a 15-storey hotel with 186 rooms, designed to enhance the area's appeal. This development will be PPHE Hotel Group (LSE: PPHE)’s fifth hotel in the Waterloo district, underscoring the company's commitment to expanding its presence in this vibrant part of London. 

The new building will not only provide hotel accommodation but also feature two floors dedicated to office and light industrial space. The ground floor will house a versatile public area, which will include an all-day dining bar and café designed to attract both tourists and local residents. 

Focus on Sustainability 

Sustainability is a core element of this project. The development aims to achieve a BREEAM 'Excellent' environmental accreditation, reflecting PPHE’s commitment to environmentally responsible construction.  

The site for the new development, purchased for £12 million in 2019, is a former brownfield location. Detailed designs are currently being finalized, with further updates on the investment and project timeline expected soon.
